I really loved the OTP, but the scene that by far made me grin the most was the one where the 3 women collectively kicked dad to the curb. Overall I enjoyed this drama even if some of my love for it at the beginning wore off towards the end. It’s still one of the best rom-coms of 2014 for me and I will put it on my repeat list for rainy days.

Hilariously though, Ki-tae does say he likes how it’s easy to just say a few words to a woman and everything is fine. Jang-mi climbs into bed with her mom and promises to be her life partner and never leave her. Mom says that sounds terrible, but Jang-mi says as long as Mom is against Ki-tae, she’s stuck with her, which makes Mom smile a little. Jang-mi tells her dad to go to the hospital but he says that he won’t, since if her mom didn’t tell him she was sick it must mean she really hates him. He thinks his presence will only make her upset and she’ll feel worse. Jang-mi’s insistence that she’s unsure about marriage just makes Dad even angrier and he demands to know what Ki-tae did to make her uncertain.

It’s a testament to Han Groo’s acting skills that Jang Mi never comes across as pathetic or bumbling.

Such a big fan of both leads and it was so refreshing to see a mother-in-law who was not pure evil just to supply a drama with a stock villain.
